The Gylleholm 14 property has been expanded with a smaller three-story apartment building in the courtyard.

During the preceding archaeological excavation it was discovered that the site has been inhabited for more than 1,000 years!

The new building is composed of simple volumes, which combined with a uniform material for both roof and facade, creates a unity and simplicity allowing the spaces to speak for themselves.

The stairwell section is clad with perforated sheet metal, transforming it into a large lantern at night, lighting up the path to the next-door Parentesen student housing.
